We are honored to announce that our very own, Gary Carlson, was recently awarded the inaugural Montana Society of CPAs Community Service Award. Congratulations Gary!
Gary has dedicated his career of nearly 50 years to not only serving his clients and his profession, but has truly been a servant to his community. In addition to involvement with countless organizations over the years, in 2000, alongside representatives from Rocky Mountain Development Council, Inc., Gary spearheaded the inaugural “Spirit of Service” day in Helena, Montana. “Spirit of Service” is a community partnership between private businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies and an opportunity for business and their employees to give back to the community by lending a helping hand to homeowners in need. What started as a small spring clean-up day for six seniors citizens has, 17 years later, turned into a highly anticipated annual event with nearly 30 partner organizations, over 500 volunteers and over 50 homeowners receiving benefit. Hats off to Gary Carlson and the lasting support he has brought for his community!
Gary will be formerly recognized at the upcoming Annual Montana Society of CPAs conference and will be nominated for the AICPA’s Public Service Award for Individuals. Want to learn more about this incredible day of giving back? Click here.
