Spirit of Service

Every year our offices take a full day to work in our communities.  Each office does something different, but the outcome is always the same – improving our communities.
Billings SOS Day

The Billings office employees have been volunteering a day of service to ZooMontana for the last few years.  Employees work on the park’s on-going projects and maintenance needed to keep the facility up and running not only for the community but for the animals.

Bozeman office during SOS day

The Bozeman office participated in the Build a Park Prep Day for the new Bozeman Sports Park for their SOS day. Employees spent the day unloading, unpacking and sorting play equipment gear to get it ready for the park build day.  They were also able to start building some of the play equipment. The Bozeman office had a great time working together as well as with other community members!

Butte employees working on garden in park

The Butte office spent the day at Clark’s Park in Butte pulling weeds, planting flowers, trimming trees and picking up garbage so that the community can enjoy one of their favorite local parks.

Butte employees have volunteered in years past with the Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, Montana Folk Festival, Adopt-a-Highway, as well as many local non-profit organizations.

They also volunteer throughout the year with their local non-profits such as Exchange Club of Butte, Kiwanis club of Butte, Thompson Food drive, Butte Emergency Food Bank, Butte Chamber of Commerce, and more.

Gerat Falls SOS group

Great Falls

Our Great Falls office does something different every year, depending on their community needs and employee request.

In 2016, they helped to clean, paint and pick up the WYCA (women’s rescue home). Additionally, they also delivered meals for Meals on Wheels.
In 2017, the office helped lay mulch for the City of Great Falls along the river’s edge trail.
In 2018, they helped with Special Olympics. This year they helped with the Bocce Ball tournament as well as assisted with the award ceremonies. The office will be assisting with the Special Olympics Montana event for years to come.
Havre group poses at bowling tournament

The Havre office team spent their SOS assisting with the Montana State Special Olympics Bowling.  The employees had the chance to cheer on the Special Olympic athletes.  They also assisted in taking scores during the tournament and made sure the athletes made it to their awards area!

SOS group

Every year, the Anderson ZurMuehlen Helena office closes for the day so our employees can help a community resident in need.  The Spirit of Service organization searches for people in the local community who need help in external home maintenance.  Our group of employees are sent to several houses around the Helena area and spend the day cleaning up yards, painting, fixing fences, removing garbage and more.  Several Helena area businesses and organizations join us on this mission to help our fellow community members.

Missoula Montana Community Service Anderson ZurMuehlen

Like other offices, the Missoula office does their Spirit of Service different every year.
This last year the team spent the day at the Five Valleys Land Trust at the Rock Creek Confluence Property.  Employees worked on watering the newly planted shrubs and pulling weeds at the restoration site.
The office also has helped with the aquatics event for the Special Olympics Montana when it was hosted in Missoula in 2015.  Employees escorted the athletes to the swim area and then the award area. They also timed the events and cheered on the athletes!
